Handyman
Handyman or Specialist? Where the Line Actually Sits
VHVan Hero Β· Moving Wisdom

A good handyman covers a huge range of jobs: flat-pack, shelves, TV mounting, filling and painting, sealant, small repairs and furniture reassembly after a move.
The line sits at anything notifiable or safety-critical. Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and notifiable electrical work by a registered electrician β a handyman shouldn't touch either.
The honest answer is that a reputable handyman will tell you when a job needs a specialist instead. We'd rather point you in the right direction than take on work that should be certified.
